CONCERTS IN HAMBURG

In the 2019/20 season Thomas Hengelbrock and his Balthasar Neumann Ensembles will return to Hamburg with their own concert series: The cycle includes concerts in the Elbphilharmonie, Laeiszhalle and the St. Pauli Theatre.

Supported by the city and in cooperation with HamburgMusik, the St. Pauli Theatre and other institutions the Ensembles plan to strengthen their presence in the Hanseatic city.

Prior to the concerts in the Elbphilharmonie and Laeiszhalle, Thomas Hengelbrock and moderator Friederike Westerhaus will be offering introductions for interested concert-goers. In them Thomas Hengelbrock will present the concert programmes and details about the works. Apart from the concerts in the Elbphilharmonie and Laeiszhalle there will also be performances in other locations like St. Pauli Theatre or Poolhaus Blankenese. Additionally, the Ensembles will explore new spaces for culture in their rehearsals, in workshops and literary projects.
