The legal basis for data protection is set out in the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) and the German Telemedia Act (TMG).

According to the GDPR and the BDSG, no company data protection officer is required to be appointed.

Handling of personal data

The protection of personal data is important to us. For this reason, data is used exclusively to collect addresses for the purpose of sending information and offers that a user has expressly requested. Under no circumstances will we disclose personal data to others for advertising or marketing purposes. Data transfer always takes place only with consent or on the basis of a legal foundation for the processing of contracts or for the fulfilment of legal obligations and always only to the extent required.

Withdrawal of consent, changes, corrections and updates

The user has the right, upon request and free of charge, to obtain information about the personal data stored about him. In addition, the user has the right to correct inaccurate data, and to block and delete his personal data, provided there is no legal obligation to retain such data.

Supervisory authority

The responsible supervisory authority is the State Representative for Data Protection in Baden-Württemberg and Data Security Baden-Württemberg (www.baden-wuerttemberg.datenschutz.de).

Access data/server log files

The controller (or its web hosting provider) collects data about each time the website is accessed (server log files). The access data includes: Name of the accessed web page, file, date and time of access, amount of data transferred, notification of successful access, browser type and version, the user’s operating system, referrer URL (the previously visited page), IP address and the requesting provider.

The controller uses the log file information for statistical analysis only for the purpose of operating, securing and optimising the website. However, the controller reserves the right to check the log file information later on if there is a justified suspicion of unlawful use based on specific indications.

Establishing contact

When contacting the controller, the user’s details are stored for the purpose of processing the enquiry and in the event that follow-up questions arise.

Integration of third party services and content

It may occur that third party content, such as videos from YouTube, maps from Google Maps, RSS newsfeeds or images from other websites are integrated in the website. This always requires the providers of this content (hereafter referred to as “Third Party Providers”) to be aware of the user’s IP address. Without the IP address they would be unable send content to the user’s browser. The IP address is therefore required to display this content. We make every effort to use only content whose providers use the IP address for the delivery of content only. However, we have no influence over whether Third Party Providers store IP address, e.g. for statistical purposes. We will inform the user to the extent that we are aware of this.

Cookies

Cookies are small files that enable the user’s accessing device (PC, smartphone, etc.) to store specific information related to the device. They are used to improve the user-friendliness of websites and help users (e.g. store login information). They are also used to collect statistical data on the use of the website and to analyse it for the purpose of improving the website. Users can control the use of cookies. Most browsers have an option that restricts or completely prevents cookies from being stored. However, it should be noted that use and ease of use in particular are restricted without cookies. You can manage many online ad cookies from companies on this US page http://www.aboutads.info/choices/ or this EU page http://www.youronlinechoices.com/uk/your-ad-choices/.

Use of Facebook Social Plugins

This website uses Social Plugins (“plugins”) provided by the social network facebook.com, operated by Facebook Ireland Ltd, 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland (“Facebook”). The plugins are identifiable by a Facebook logo (white letter f on blue background, the word “like” or a thumb up icon) or the notice “Facebook Social Plugin”. A full list and the appearance of all Facebook Social Plugins is available at: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/.

When a user visits a web page that contains a social plugin, his browser establishes a direct connection to Facebook servers. Facebook directly transfers the plugin content to your browser which embeds it in the web page. The controller has no influence on the extent of data collected by Facebook using this plugin and is therefore informing of his current state of knowledge:

The embedded plugins provide Facebook with the information that a user has accessed the corresponding page. If the user is logged into Facebook, his visit can be assigned to his Facebook account. If the user interacts with the plugins, for example by clicking “Like”, or entering a comment, the corresponding information is transmitted from his browser directly to Facebook and stored by it. Even if a user is not logged into Facebook, there is still the possibility that Facebook ascertains and stores his IP address. According to Facebook, only anonymised IP addresses are stored in Germany.

Information on the purpose and scope of data collected and processed by Facebook, as well as your rights in this respect and settings options for protecting your privacy is available from Facebook’s Data Policy: https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/.

If a user is a Facebook member and does not want Facebook to connect the data concerning his visit to this website with his member data already stored by Facebook, he must log off Facebook before accessing the website. He may also change how Facebook uses his data for commercial purposes within his profile settings: https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=ads.
