(2) CONDUCTORS‘ ACADEMY
In order to give young conductors the opportunity of working with and experience our Balthasar Neumann Ensembles, in 2023, we launch the 1st conductors’ academy under the artistic direction of Thomas Hengelbrock. The academy aims to close a gap in higher education and practical work and is organized as an innovative training program for rehearsing and conducting choir-orchestra-works. Participants will learn to plan and structure rehearsals, to understand the relationship with singers and orchestra musicians together and due to the excellently coordinated ensembles they can experience the immediate implementation of ideas. The four-day-course will be integrated into a project of Balthasar Neumann Choir and Orchestra which proposes the unique opportunity to work at the highest artistic level and offers a platform to interact with international freelance musicians.
