The Balthasar Neumann Choir and Ensemble Society

The Balthasar Neumann Choir and Ensemble Society is a registered company and a non-profit-making organization whose declared aim is to promote art and culture in general and to encourage orchestral and choral music in particular. This goal is achieved by performing orchestral and choral music, by working together on instrumental music and on works from the operatic repertory and by organizing events on the highest artistic level, all of which are accessible to everyone. The Balthasar Neumann Choir and Ensemble has its headquarters in Freiburg, where Thomas Hengelbrock formed the Balthasar Neumann Choir in 1991 and where he founded the Balthasar Neumann Ensemble four years later.
