AUTUMN FESTIVAL: MOZART IN BADEN-BADEN

The last concert weekend of the Balthasar Neumann Ensembles in Baden-Baden – at the end of October 2020 – will be remembered for a long time: Immediately before the “Lockdown Light”, we performed the Brahms Requiem there with around 120 musicians on stage, despite it all.
This October, Thomas Hengelbrock and the Balthasar Neumann Ensembles return for a residency at the Herbstfestspiele: Mozart’s “Idomeneo” is the focus of the performances at the Festspielhaus, and two special concerts are also planned: First, an evening around Mozart’s “Coronation Mass” conducted by the young British conductor Duncan Ward; and then, as the weekend’s finale, Mozart’s “Jupiter Symphony”, complemented by the concert aria “Bella Mia Fiamma” with soprano Regula Mühlemann.
