BAROQUE STRING COURSE
We are excited to open a new chapter in the history of the Balthasar Neumann Ensembles this week. In the Château de Fontainebleau, we are uniting 20 music students from all over Europe and Cuba with tutors from the Balthasar Neumann Ensemble, the Balthasar Neumann Continuo and Thomas Hengelbrock for a special project week as part of our Résidence Artistique: An intensive course on Italian baroque music, a “Sommet du Baroque Italien” the fills the Château de Fontainebleau with music in every corner.
Under the direction of Thomas Hengelbrock and the course leaders, the musicians take a look at baroque music from different angles: lessons, chamber music, orchestral rehearsals and conferences.
