The Artistic Board of the Balthasar Neumann Ensembles create a vital and direct link between the choir and orchestra, the management and the artistic director Thomas Hengelbrock. They are available as advisors for artistic queries from the office and provide support in the casting of the choir and orchestra. In addition, they help to design projects and workshops and organize courses and master classes in which they contribute to the artistic direction.
As direct contacts for the members of the Balthasar Neumann Choir and Orchestra, the Artistic Board acts as a channel between the management and the ensembles where feedback and suggestions can be exchanged and is committed to both the further development of the ensembles and the Academy.
The members also act as ambassadors to the wider cultural world, promoting the work of the Balthasar Neumann Family through interviews and other media engagements.
The members of the Artistic Board are appointed by Thomas Hengelbrock, the artistic director and founder of the ensembles.
